Have you ever thought, "I'll start acting like a leader once I get the promotion?"
It's one of the biggest misconceptions I see ambitious women make.
The truth is, the people who earn promotions aren't just great at doing their jobs - they've already started thinking, communicating, and showing up like leaders long before anyone changes their title.
In this episode, we're talking about what leadership really looks like before you have authority. From speaking up with confidence to taking ownership, influencing others, and building trust, you'll learn the small shifts that make a big impact on how you're perceived at work.
If you're ready to stop waiting for permission and start becoming the obvious choice for your next opportunity, this conversation is for you.
Remember: leadership isn't something you receive. It's something you practice every single day.

Have you ever noticed how quickly your mind can talk you out of something?
Maybe it's a new opportunity, a big goal, a difficult conversation, or simply believing in yourself a little more. Before you've even taken the first step, your mind starts listing all the reasons why you're not ready, not qualified enough, or not capable enough.
The truth is, many of the limitations we experience aren't created by our circumstances - they're created by the stories we believe about ourselves.
In this conversation, we're exploring the powerful role mindset plays in shaping our confidence, decisions, and success. I talk about why confidence doesn't come before action, how limiting beliefs keep us stuck, and why learning to challenge your thoughts can create entirely new possibilities in your life.
If you've ever struggled with self-doubt, questioned your abilities, or felt like you're waiting to feel "ready," this episode will remind you that growth doesn't require perfection. It simply requires a willingness to take the next step.
Because the next level of your life isn't waiting for a different circumstance - it's waiting for a different belief.

Have you ever felt like you're doing all the right things, achieving your goals, checking the boxes, and building a successful life - yet still feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself?
Many ambitious women spend years chasing balance, believing that if they could just manage their time better or become more productive, everything would finally fall into place. But what if balance isn't actually the goal?
This conversation explores a different approach: living an integrated life. One where your ambition, well-being, relationships, and personal growth work together instead of competing for your time and energy.
I talk about why so many women feel pulled in different directions, the hidden cost of defining success through achievement alone, and how getting clear on your values can help you create a life that feels more aligned, fulfilling, and sustainable.
If you've been craving a version of success that feels powerful, peaceful, and true to who you are, this episode is for you.

A year ago, I hit record on the very first episode of the EmpowerElle Podcast.
At the time, I didn't have all the answers. I didn't know exactly where the podcast would go, how many women it would reach, or what lessons I would learn along the way. What I did know was that I had a message worth sharing and a desire to help ambitious women create success without sacrificing themselves in the process.
Fifty-three episodes later, one lesson stands out above all the others:
Confidence doesn't come from being perfect. It comes from being willing to show up.
In this milestone episode, we're celebrating one year of the EmpowerElle Podcast by exploring what it really means to lead with confidence - even when you don't feel completely ready. Because leadership isn't about having all the answers, avoiding mistakes, or waiting until you're certain. It's about trusting yourself enough to take the next step, learn as you go, and keep moving forward.
Whether you're leading a team, building a business, navigating a career transition, or simply learning to lead yourself more effectively, this conversation will remind you that you don't need to be perfect to be powerful.
You simply need the courage to begin.
To everyone who has listened, shared, supported, and grown alongside me over the past year - thank you for being part of this journey. Here's to continuing to lead, live, and thrive together.

Have you ever achieved something you worked incredibly hard for, only to immediately start thinking about the next thing on your list?
Or maybe you've caught yourself feeling frustrated because you didn't get everything done, made a small mistake, or weren't able to show up exactly the way you wanted to.
If so, you're not alone.
For many ambitious women, perfectionism can quietly become the driving force behind our decisions, expectations, and even our sense of self-worth. What starts as a desire to do well can quickly turn into constant pressure, self-criticism, and the feeling that no matter how much we accomplish, it's never quite enough.
In this conversation, we're exploring why perfectionism is so common among high-achieving women, how unrealistic expectations impact our confidence and well-being, and what it looks like to pursue excellence without sacrificing ourselves in the process.
If you've been carrying the weight of needing to do it all, be it all, and get it all right, this episode is your reminder that success doesn't require perfection.
It requires alignment, courage, and the willingness to give yourself grace along the way.

In this deeply personal episode of the EmpowerElle Podcast, I’m sharing my lifelong journey with food, body image, dieting, and learning how to build a healthier relationship with myself without guilt or obsession.

Today, I’m about 25 pounds heavier than my lowest weight, but I feel healthier, stronger, more balanced, and more confident than ever before. I enjoy my life, I enjoy food, and I’ve finally found a version of wellness that feels sustainable and freeing.
This episode is a reminder that you do not have to hate yourself into becoming healthy. You deserve a version of wellness that supports your mental, emotional, and physical well-being - without sacrificing joy, balance, or your relationship with yourself.

In this deeply honest and powerful conversation, Vero sits down with social worker Dominique Méthé to talk about growth, courage, reinvention, and supporting women through some of life’s most vulnerable seasons. After spending 10 years working on the mental health team inside a men’s medium-security institution, Dominique made the difficult decision to leave the stability of government work and step into private practice - all while navigating motherhood, anxiety, and her daughter’s health challenges.
Together, they explore the realities of burnout, nervous system overload, identity beyond career titles, and the pressure women feel to hold everything together. Dominique also shares her passion for supporting women through postpartum struggles, fertility journeys, miscarriage, birth trauma, and motherhood, while opening up about her own healing journey and her growing interest in breathwork and nervous system regulation.
This episode is a reminder that success should never come at the cost of yourself - and that asking for help is not weakness, it’s strength.

I also share what this trip reminded me about relationships, balance, rest, and the importance of disconnecting from responsibilities to reconnect with yourself and the people you love most.
Plus, I give an update on the second cohort of Overwhelmed to Organized and the deeper mission behind EmpowerElle - helping ambitious women create success without sacrificing their well-being.
